SMLE No 1 to 3 and No 4’s These trusty service rifles were the mainstay of the British Army and the Commonwealth for over 60 years seeing service in may theatres of war and are still in service with many countries of the world. Unfortunately, there are very few good examples left and these are usually de-activated as wall hangers etc, so to this end I decided to have a few of the last remaining rifles converted to .410 shotgun to enable a piece of our wonderful history to be available to you. Most of these rifles have been sympathetically refinished, re-blacked and re-proofed and are available on shotgun certificate for you to have in pride of place in your collection. They are surprisingly user friendly but it does seem strange rabbit or pigeon shooting with a service rifle, but you do get used to it. Anyway, we have a few left so if you want one we can always send it to your local dealer for you to collect, but hurry they won’t last long. | |
